That is, until the son of a longtime client unwittingly launders money for an international drug dealer, pulling a reluctant Trevor into a complex web of post-9/11 federal bureaucracy and high-stakes operations. 

As the pressure mounts, Trevor works “close follows,” investigates petty crimes, and engages in hardcore tactical exercises… All while navigating life with his wife and two daughters, daily pressure from his bosses in the financial planning Home Office, and an aggressive group of federal agents and drug dealers until he’s forced to apply his tactical training to the life and death situation in which he ultimately finds himself.

About the Author

Doug Emery has run a successful investment planning company for thirty-plus years. He and his wife Melissa live on their farm in northeast Ohio where Doug has spent a lifetime raising sheep, running bird dogs, hunting, shooting skeet, long-range rifle, and doing Combative Tactical Firearms Training.

He works security through Belltower International, holding a Class A license in investigation and security.

Doug is the founder and president of North Coast Peace Officer Training Foundation (NCPOTF.org), a not-for-profit law enforcement training company, providing training at no cost to the officer or their agency.
